Another mobile Weblog hosting company has debuted: Rare Window. The company is based in Australia but the server is in the United States.
Rare Window is still in beta. The company tells me it is focusing on providing a very intuitive user experience (aren't they all?), and there are more features to come.
Moblog business models are even more difficult to discern than Weblog business models! As I've written ad nauseam in my general wireless data Weblog, creating a viable wireless data business is tough because all the links of the value chain have to be strong enough. Moblog hosting companies are still trying to decide what links to forge, let alone understanding how to strengthen them.
I wish Rare Window lots of luck. As with other moblog companies trying to become financially viable, Rare Windows is going to need it!
