Wired Magazine today published an article about three companies participating in the DEMO conference that showed new online photo albums. One of the companies, Photosite, includes some features for camera phone users: Enabling photos to be sent to the album from a camera phone and optimizing the photo album for viewing on a camera phone or handheld device.
Being able to accept a photo from a camera phone is no big deal. Any moblog hosting company or cellular operator's online album can do that. As for optimizing a photo album for viewing on a cellular phone, that can be useful but, again, many companies already offer that feature.
Perhaps Photosite has more unique features for camera phone or will introduce new features in the future. I haven't tested the service and, I assume, the camera phone capability is a relatively minor part of the overall offering.
