Siemens during CeBIT in Hanover, Germany in mid-March is slated to introduce a cordless phone (not cellular) with an integrated camera and MMS capabilities.
The press release -- part of a release discussing other Siemens products are CeBIT -- doesn't say much. "Users will for the first time be able to capture special moments and immediately share them with friends over the fixed network too.
"With this phone, Siemens mobile is opening a new chapter in fixed network telephony because it will greatly extend the array of home-based communication options."
I've owned a Siemens 2.4 Gigabit cordless system for five years. Its a piece of junk. I've had tremendous quality issues with the system that is now abandoned and not supported by Siemens. (the reason I still have it, is I've invested nearly $1,000 in it!)
I wouldn't recommend to ANYONE buying a Siemens cordless phone/ system even with new wizzy features!
