Sprint PCS, Bell Mobility offer U.S. - Canada picture sharing using LightSurf

Sprint PCS in the United States and Bell Mobility in Canada are offering interoperability of picture message using the LightSurf MMS platform. This is the first time North American cellular users will be able to share photos, notes the press release.

Actually, this is the first time there is any camera phone interoperability relating to the U.S. Verizon has said it expects some interoperability to be launched in the U.S. this summer among a few cellular operators.

In a related camera phone announcement, LightSurf is providing its MMS platform to the Mexican cellular operator, Grupo Iusacell.
