Twenty-year-old Mike Mahoney in Manchester, England got a modeling contract thanks to sending a photo from his camera phone, according to an article in Manchester Online.
Mahoney entered a modeling contest by sending a camera phone photo because he was too busy to send regular photos. He didn't make the "short list" but he went to London, where the competition was held, to see the event.
When a finalist dropped out, he was asked to join the competition. He didn't win, but he was signed by Premier Model Management, that handles suchs models as Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, the article says.
