NARAL Pro-Choice America is asking for photos -- including camera phone photos -- of the March for Women's Lives scheduled for this Sunday in Washington, D.C., according to a press release.
The group would like photos of the event, sponsored by more than half a dozen organizations, as well as its supporters watching as home. NARAL also is asking people to send messages of support to its Web site. Messages of support and photos will be displayed online as well as at the march.
The president of the association says the group is using technology to create a community of people with similar feelings.
Where's the information?
It's great that NARAL specifically mentions camera phones. But where's the information about sending photos -- with camera phones or digital camera? The press release just includes a home page URL. I looked at the NARAL site and couldn't find any information.
Any organization that posts a press release asking its members to use technology should -- before the press release is posted -- ensure that information is on its Web site.
I don't think I'm being picky. My wireless data consulting focuses on helping businesses create new and improve existing wireless data businesses. That includes analyzing marketing and public relations efforts.
NARAL needs to provide information to its members and supporters about how to send photos and messages. This is PR 101.
