In keeping with the spirit of today's date, Samsung has unveiled an amazing -- though somewhat bulky -- six megapixel wristwatch camera phone (see below) that also includes the personal video recording capabilities from Tivo and Direct TV satellite capabilities, according to Phone Scoop.
Here's Phone Scoop's scoop:
"Samsung today announced the SGH-Y800, the world's first phone with an integrated DVR (digital video recorder). The wrist-mounted GSM device receives high-definition digital satellite television, and can be programmed to record favorite shows to an internal 80-GB hard drive.
"An XGA display capable of showing 278,890,000 colors is mounted on an 8-way adjustable, telescoping arm for optimal viewing angles. A 6-megapixel camera with live video capture and streaming rounds out the feature set.
"When asked about the device, a Samsung executive said 'We've had great success with similar phones in the past, such as our TV phone, watch phone, Bluetooth phone, and of course our Symbian phone, all drumming up great PR.
"When we realized we could get away with announcing these phones without ever releasing them, we said to ourselves 'why not go for the gold?'"
