7-Eleven today announced its first prepaid camera phone, the Nokia 3200, that retails for $109.99 (after a $50 rebate) with airtime chrges of $.20 per minute.
The minutes on the prepaid cards expire after 365 days -- many months later than the typical 30 - 60 day expiration dates of other prepaid cellular services. The 3200 comes with five different phone covers that are included in the box.
The company's Speak Out Wireless offering is available in 4.411 7-Eleven stores in 39 markets. The 3200 is one of a total of five Nokia GSM that are available from 7-Eleven.
The release doesn't mention the cellular operator that's used, but one of the press contacts is from Cingular Wireless and Cingular is indeed the operator providng the network. 7-Eleven works with Ztar Mobile, a "mobile virtual network operator enabler" that works with cellular operators.
