The Dallas Morning News today writes about corporations banning -- or not banning camera phones -- including Lockheed Martin, Texas Instruments and General Motors. (Free registration required.)
"We don't like them," says Joe Stout, a spokesman for Lockheed Martin. "We prohibit them because of the classified nature of the work we do," he says in the article.
Texas Instruments doesn't ban camera phones but employees and visitors need to alert security when the handsets are brought into the company. A spokeswoman for T.I. says, "We love camera phones. We make the chips that are in them. We simply use the same rules we have in the past regarding cameras."
