A survey conducted by the Far East Economic Review of 1,901 Asian executives found that 24 percent of the respondents wanted a camera phone, the electric new paper reports.
The most-wanted electronic gadget was a flat screen TV, followed by digital cameras (26 percent), laptops and PDAs (each 25 percent) and then camera phones. Fewer than 16 percent wanted MP3 players, 3G phones or WiFi.
Executives were surveyed in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
