Mobile Asses features, well, mobile asses

I was just searching Google to find interesting camera phone articles when I saw a link to a site, Mobile Asses (see below).

I pondered whether I should mention and link to the site. I'm a pretty liberal guy, but that doesn't mean I don't think about what's appropriate.

I'm including this entry because it's important to understand all the ramifications of camera phone use and abuse. In some countries, people would laugh off this site and see it as no big deal. In other countries, the site would not only be removed but also the developers might be punished.

Information is better than ignorance

This is exactly the sort of site journalists could point out as an example of the abuses of camera phones. Whether this is a big deal depends upon your business and personal feelings.

If you're in the camera phone business, it's important to know this site exists. It's also important to realize that photos can be taken with camera phones or digital cameras. Camera phones offer immediacy of posting but digital cameras offer superior images.

Update: Old News

Emiliy Turrettini, writer of the great camera phone Weblog, picturephoning, just e-mailed me that "Mobile Asses" is old news and points to her item pointing to a BoingBoing item on July 11, 2003.

Well, I guess I'm just a mobile ass for being so late finding this!

IMO that site is a joke. Another wanna be hot or not site but atleast with hot or not people are submitting pictures of them and not some stranger.
