Southern LINC debuts Motorola iDEN i860 camera phone

Southern LINC, an IDEN network operator, yesterday announced the debut of the Motorola i860 camera phone.

I wrote a bit about the i860 in July 2004. The handset retails for $399 and is available from Southern LINC for $275, according to the company's Web site.

"Pictures captured with the Motorola i860 can also be sent via SendMail, a pre-loaded Java application which allows users to send pictures via e-mail. Media Downloader allows the transfer of pictures from the i860 to a PC. Media Downloader can be acquired from the Motorola Software Downloads page," the press release says.
