Ulead Systems today announced its new Video ToolBox 2 includes editing and sharing capabilities for cellular phone videos.
The press release says, "Video ToolBox lets users import video from mobile phones, edit video clips by trimming, adding music and transitions, and outputting to a variety of video formats for playback on the Web, CD/DVD and on 3G mobile phones.
"Video ToolBox 2 is the ideal companion application for OEM vendors, particularly 3G –enabled mobile phone, MPEG-4 Player, digital still camera and capture card makers that want to offer their customers a complete, cutting-edge solution to easily enhance and share video taken on mobile devices."
Key features
Ulead's Web site lists the key features for the mobile edition, including a copyright protection capability that's available only in Japan.
The company says, " 1 of 3 options exclusively for mobile phone sharing: (1) prevent viewers from resending, (2) limit a video to a specified number of viewings, or (3) deactivate a video after a specified date.
"You can stop unwanted sharing, stop a video being watched more than a fixed number of times, or ensure that a video won't be watched in a few months' time."
