Two Indian students used a camera phone to film a short porn video, resulting in their expulsion and the banning of cellular phones, according to several media reports, including one in Sify News.
Two students in New Delhi -- a girl honor student and a boy from a wealthy family -- were expelled after they circulated their 2.37-minute film to other students.
As a result of the incident, cellular phones -- that had been allowed -- were banned in the school. Any student caught with a phone will be fined 2,000 rupees ($44.40) and the phone will be confiscated. (Another article says the fine will be 1,000 rupees.)
I think what we need to understand is what went wrong in this DPS scandal. It would be foolish for anyone to believe that young adults in todays world do not engage in sexual activities - they do. Live with it.
The issue here is of recording and breaching ones privacy. Circulating images of someone is the most immature way to prove yourself. The reason why parents and others are so wary of young adults is because they, rightly, believe that young adults are unable to make mature decisions - they make rash decisions without taking into consideration consequences - and this exactly what the boy did by sending out the mms'
So the next time you tell your parents 'Im old enough to make my decisions', think again.

Anonymous, you almost sound like "Hey teachers leave the kids alone!"
I agree, and neither the Cellular companies, nor Bazee should be held accountable. And indeed they are free. Then why has the school banned them?

The boy is walking tall, PROUD and free..as any man should. All he did was share his experience with the rest of the WORLD,not just INDIA!All the narcisstitic females of the Behenji brigade, can go to hell! There will be and are more viedos, just try google!
The girl has not been villified, as is being falsely purported in this log, except by certain losers!
She is as free as Hemant.
When you create a paradigm in hu"man" society you are respected.Hemant Chugh and Aparna Bedi did just that. All that hasbeen done is share what goes on "behind the scenes all the time".The self styled moralists can pull their hair out...this will only happen MORE.
This is the land of the Kamasutra. And we don't need laws to dictate how/who or when we make love or who we share it with.As long as it is safe and real.

Hi
The question was inspired by the reference to somebody using a shoe mounted camera to take upskirt pictures.

Hey Minnu, Nobody s responded as its a quite dumb question - what innovations can a camera phone have other than clicking snaps/ capturing moving pics.... it all depends on the tech specs etc of the specific model/ brand of handset you have and if you dont hv one, it wud depend on the the moolah that you wanna spend on the mobile phone purchase....
Now let the otherjunta continue the dps/ trisha debate!
