Samsung handsets: 80% in Korea, 50 % overseas include camera phones

Next year more than 80 percent of Samsung Electronics' cellular phones produced for South Korea and 50 percent produced for overseas markets will incorporate camera phones, according to an article in Telecoms Korea.

The article also says Samsung will produce its own camera phone modules beginning next year.  Samsung Electronics' camera phone module are currently manufactured by affiliate companies, such as Samsung Electricity, Samsung Techwin and Pentax.

Samsung already has developed a 1.3 megapixel and two megapixel CMOS senor.
