Nextel has introduced the Motorola i275 VGA camera phone (see below) that also includes walkie-talking capabilities when the Nextel network isn't available, according to the press release.
The press release says, "The Direct Talk service allows walkie-talkie communications in areas without network coverage within a range of up to six miles, depending on specific conditions such as terrain."
The phone retails for $174.99 with a $50 "instant savings" and a $25 credit -- with a two-year contract.
