"Blogging Baby" discusses camera phones as family photo albums
Years ago I began talking about camera phones as replacing, or at least supplementing, photos that we carried in our wallets. I remember reporters quoting me about this and thinking that it made sense.
Well, times have certainly changed and what seemed to be esoteric — photos in your cellular phone — is now commonplace.
“Blogging Baby” writes that, “Whenever my husband and I are out, now, he pulls out his camera phone to show off his photos of our kids. And we aren't the only ones: Virginia Madsen pulled out her Motorola camera phone to show Ryan Seacrest, and the TV viewing public, a picture of her son during the red carpet coverage of the Golden Globes.
“It seems that camera phones are the new wallets. Why carry photos of your loved ones when you can just fill your phone with the cuties? It's so immediate and you never need to worry about ordering wallet-sized photos - just snap a new pic. It's the cure for the collection of photos from seven years ago.” (see below)
