MiShow debuts mommy-focused photo/video "biography" sharing site

From MoCo.News I learned about a new photo and video sharing site, MiShow, that focuses on mothers writing the biographies online (see below).

    MiShow - home page - 7-31-06

MiShow says it “enables users to capture life events in pictures, video, audio, or text and upload them via picture messaging, mobile browser, or e-mail, to pre-defined channels.  Dynamic tagging helps users instantly enter rich contextual information such as location, activity, and cast.

“MiShow then automatically archives and integrates each event into the appropriate channels in time-linear order.  Invited viewers, who are notified by e-mail when new events are uploaded, can watch the channels in real-time over the Web on a mobile phone or PC.

“Playback flows like a television show, automatically, in time sequence.”

    Origins

MiShow says it was created when “Our frustration as parents intersected with our interest in new technologies and, conveniently, our professional capabilities in mobile communications.  MiShow started as a personal project and evolved with experience.

“MiShow is really designed by women for other women who want to record and share their lives, and the lives of their families, without drudgery, time commitment, or hassle of learning a new technology.”

With all the photo and video sharing sites available, it will be interesting to see if MiShow can — through great services and/or marketing acumen — capture its mother/family-oriented targeted audience — and make money in the process.
