Sixty eight percent of people surveyed by cellular dealer Wirefly say the camera is their favorite cellular phone feature, according to the company's press release.
The camera beats an MP3 player, GPS and mobile TV for the most popular feature.
Wirefly, a subsidiary of wireless distributor InPhonic, surveyed 2,011 people at least 18 years old who purchased phones and service plans from the company this year between October 13 and October 31.
Photos taken
According to the survey, 63 percent of users take one to 15 photos per month, 17 percent take more than 15 per month and 14 percent don't take any photos.
The survey also found that 46 percent of consumers use their cellular phone 500 minutes a month or less, 32 percent use 500 - 1,000 minutes per month and 13 percent use more than 1,000 minutes every month.

Interesting finding, but not all that surprising seeing as the camera is the most baked feature on a cell phone at present (of the features mentioned). I have found that I take 10 times as many pictures as I ever did before thanks to Mojungle - it's a service that let's users easily send camera phone photo's to an online account. Previously I had no good/easy way to get my pictures off my phone. Mojungle works great as a repository for your photos and the site even creates a player for your images that you can embed in other web sites. I highly recommend the service - www.mojungle.com - works well and very easy to set up and use.
