I recently established a Flickr account to post my favorite camera phone photos that I've taken (see above). Also, I have posted a Flickr Flash-based "badge" (see left) of these photos that you may see in the left column of this weblog under "Camera Phone Photos." I've been avoiding adding graphic elements that slow down loading pages but since so many people now have broadband connections I thought it wouldn't adversely affect too many readers.
I started posting camera phone photos online years ago (such as for the Treo 600; see below) starting with using textamerica, a pioneering moblog company. I liked textamerica, especially because they allowed photos and videos; most photo sharing services allow only photo -- not video -- storage. Years ago I also did a little bit of business development and marketing consulting for textamerica.
Unfortunately, textamerica didn't capitalize on its pioneering role and has, unfortunately, fallen by the wayside as hundreds of new photo and video sharing sites have been established. It really is a shame.
Other moblogs
Most recently I started establishing photo albums with TypePad, that hosts my personal weblogs. TypePads photos albums aren't bad and features are added every so often. But they aren't the best of the best from a feature standpoint.
Now I'm doing a bit more with Flickr. I met -- very briefly -- Flickr's founders a few years ago during a camera phone conference held in Hawaii. I must admit that, at the time, I didn't realize the explosive potential of Flickr. Shame on me.
All my camera phone moblogs -- about 20 -- are listed as "My Test Moblogs" (see left) down the left column of this weblog.
