First it was CBS’ “Moonlight” using what looked like the Apple iPhone and now it seems that NBC’s “Chuck” is using it, too.
In “Chuck,” Central Intelligence Agency agent Sarah Walker breaks into a hotel room with National Security Agency agent Major John Casey on the bed, and she has what looks like an iPhone on her belt (see below).
She finds Casey tied up in bed in his underwear and takes a photo with the phone (see below).
“Moonlight” is about a vampire who’s a private detective who helps a Web television reporter. “Chuck” is about a “nerd herd” (i.e., Geek Squad) computer technician working at “Buy More” (i.e., Best Buy/Circuit City) who has had lots of top security secrets zapped into his brain when he opened an e-mail message.
Geek/nerd TV programs
This is the season for a fair number of network programs aimed at the geek/nerd crowd. As the (arguably) coolest phone introduced this year, the iPhone is a natural for product placement on TV shows.
