Hi. Thanks for checking out my new Weblog. I've been analyzing wireless communications since 1978 and I've been a full time wireless data consultant, as president of Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing, since 1996.
Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing helps create new and improve existing wireless data businesses around the world. We do strategic analysis, corporate tutorials and develop white papers and other marketing materials.
In the past, I created the world's first: Cellular conference, wireless data newsletter, wireless data conference and FM radio subcarrier newsletter (Subcarrier Communications). I also helped create the first cellular magazine (Cellular Business, now called Wireless Review).
Weblog publishing
I've also been publishing a Weblog, Reiter's Wireless Data Web Log, for almost two years. Earlier this year, Forbes Magazine was nice enough to name it one of the top five technology Weblogs on the Internet. Whether or not you agree (and I probably could point to many better Weblogs!), if you're interested in wireless data, you might want to check it out.
For more than six months I've been considering doing a second detailed Weblog -- one focusing on camera phones. My main concern was whether I should spend even more time writing -- for free. After all, I have a consulting business to run!
However, I've decided to bite the bullet because I think there's a need for an uber camera phone Weblog. I'll be posting all my comments about camera phones on this Weblog and using my original Weblog for all other wireless data subjects.
The best camera phone resource?
There are a few good camera phone Weblogs -- and I've included them on my home page, but there aren't many. I like the sites I've listed but my goal is, frankly, to create the best resource for camera phone information on the Web.
I guess we'll see whether I succeed. This is only the beginning of posting detailed information about camera phones. Based upon my 25 years of analyzing wireless communications, I believe camera phones -- and the evolution of multimedia wireless hardware, software and services -- will become one of the few global multibillion dollar businesses.
Oh -- if you're interested in advertising on this Weblog, please feel free to contact me. My e-mail address is at the top of the home page.
Have fun reading.
